Our four years of almost constant travel spanned most of the continent.
We towed the trailer 60,000 miles, and drove the truck an additional 53,000
miles of local travel while the trailer was parked. Our route passed within
230 miles of every point in the contiguous 48 states. The link from Fairbanks
to Barrow, Alaska, was by commercial airline - there aren't any roads.
